Taleez: our review
Taleez is a French recruitment software (ATS) that centralizes job posting distribution, application tracking and, more recently, an AI module for ranking résumés and preparing interviews. It targets SMBs and mid-sized companies that hire in volume without an HR team dedicated to the technical side.
What we take away from it
What counts in its favor
- Hosting and support in France, with a contract under French law: a criterion that matters for an HR team that doesn't want to manage a sub-processor outside the EU.
- The AI ranks applications but doesn't decide: Taleez explicitly claims the recruiter keeps the final say on every profile.
- Simultaneous distribution to more than 90 job boards and 15,000 schools, which saves publishing an offer job board by job board.
What counts against it
- No public pricing: the pricing page shows no tier and no amount, only a quote on request, which makes it impossible to compare without contacting sales.
- Automated résumé sorting falls under the high-risk AI system category of the EU AI Act: whatever the vendor says about human oversight, the obligation to document and supervise remains with the company using the tool, not with Taleez.
- The GDPR page mentions no formal security certification (neither ISO 27001 nor SOC 2): only 'regular security tests' are mentioned.
A coherent choice for a French SMB that wants an ATS in French and hosted in France, provided it's willing to negotiate a price blind and to document its own use of the sorting AI against the EU regulation.

Taleez in detail
Taleez is recruitment software designed for French SMBs and mid-sized companies that hire without an HR team dedicated to the technical side. It combines job posting distribution, application sorting and, since 2025, an artificial intelligence module to help rank résumés.
What it actually does
A job posted on Taleez goes out simultaneously to more than 90 job boards and 15,000 schools, with no re-entry of data. Applications received land in a shared résumé database, where the "Taleez AI" module offers matching: it analyzes saved profiles and ranks them by relevance for a given position. The vendor stresses one point: the AI "never decides in your place. It analyzes, ranks and proposes a selection" — the recruiter keeps control of who moves forward and who is set aside. The AI also drafts job-ad outlines from a few parameters, summarizes interview notes and corrects spelling.
Why AI résumé sorting isn't a minor detail
Automated ranking of applications is one of the uses classified as high-risk by the EU AI Act, alongside systems that filter job offers or evaluate candidates. This isn't an opinion about Taleez: it's the regulatory category the feature itself falls into, whichever vendor supplies it. In practice, a company using this ranking to sort hundreds of applications is still required to document the use, keep real — not just nominal — human oversight, and be able to explain why a profile was set aside if the question comes up. An HR team in the legal sector, bound by strict non-discrimination obligations, has good reason to settle this point before rolling out automatic sorting to every open position.
Where it falls short
Two reservations, beyond the regulatory point above. First: no price is published. The pricing page always points to a quote, with no tier or indicative amount — impossible to know whether the tool costs €100 or €800 a month without picking up the phone. Second: the GDPR page mentions no formal security certification, only "regular security tests." For a firm that has to answer a vendor security questionnaire, that absence stands out.
Our recommendation
Taleez suits a French SMB that hires in volume, wants a French-language interface and domestic hosting, and has no immediate need to compare prices. An organization that needs to know a price before committing, or that hires internationally with non-French-speaking recruiters, should look elsewhere.
Who it's for, and who it isn't
Suited for
- A French SMB or mid-sized company that hires in volume and wants to centralize job posting distribution and application tracking
- An HR team without technical skills, that needs an interface entirely in French
- An organization for which hosting in France is a selling point displayed to candidates or clients
Not a fit
- A company that wants to compare public prices before picking up the phone
- An organization subject to stricter obligations on high-risk AI systems (public sector, large volumes) without in-house capacity to document automated sorting
- An international firm that needs an English-language interface for recruiters outside France
Frequently asked questions
- Does Taleez's AI résumé sorting comply with the EU AI Act?
- Ranking applications with an automated system is one of the high-risk uses listed by the EU AI Act (recruitment, personnel selection). Taleez states that its AI "analyzes, ranks and proposes a selection" without deciding in the recruiter's place, which limits the risk in practice. But the obligation to document the use, ensure real human oversight and keep a register still falls on the company using the tool, not on the vendor: better to know that before rolling out automatic sorting to every position.
- How much does Taleez cost?
- No price is published. The pricing page states that the amount depends on the size of the organization, the volume of hires and specific needs, and always points to a quote request. Impossible to compare without talking to sales.
- Does my candidate data leave France?
- Taleez claims hosting in France and GDPR compliance on its "why Taleez" page, and its GDPR page names OVH with servers in Gravelines. The cookie policy, however, mentions regulated transfers to the United States for analytics and marketing tools (Google, Meta, Microsoft): that's browsing data, not the résumés themselves.
- Do you need technical skills to use Taleez?
- No. The interface is in French, designed for an HR team without technical skills, with a built-in spell checker and job-ad generation. The trade-off is the lack of public pricing and self-hosting documentation: it's not a tool for a technical team wanting to deeply customize it.
- What's the difference with Lucca for recruitment?
- Lucca offers a recruitment module within a broader HRIS (payroll, leave, performance reviews). Taleez is a dedicated ATS, with more recruitment-specific features (multi-job-board distribution, employee referral, careers site). A company that hires a lot and wants a specialized tool will look at Taleez; one that wants a single HR software for everything will look at Lucca.
