Murf AI: our review
Murf AI generates voiceovers from text with more than 200 voices in around thirty languages, integrates with Canva, Google Slides and PowerPoint, and offers voice cloning as an option.
What we take away from it
What counts in its favor
- Creator plan at $19/month with 24 hours of voice generation a year and commercial rights included: a good value for a regular creator.
What counts against it
- Training on data is on by default for the Free, Creator and Business plans; the "No Training on your Data" clause is reserved for the Enterprise plan.
An excellent tool for content creators who want professional voiceovers without going through a studio. To avoid for confidential data unless you subscribe to the Enterprise plan.

Murf AI in detail
Murf AI is a voiceover generator that turns text into speech with more than 200 voices spread across around thirty languages and accents. The tool integrates directly with Canva, Google Slides and PowerPoint, which makes it a natural companion for video creators, presentation builders and e-learning module makers. Voice cloning is available as an option.
The Creator plan at $19/month gives 24 hours of voice generation a year, with commercial rights included and unlimited downloads. That's a competitive rate for regular but moderate use. The free plan offers 10 minutes of generation with no commercial rights, enough to test the tool before committing. Heavy users will move to the Business plan at $66/month for 96 hours a year.
The main point to watch concerns data: Murf hosts all customer data in the United States (AWS us-east-2, Ohio) and the "No Training on your Data" clause only applies on the Enterprise plan. On lower plans, data can be used to train models, with a partial opt-out option. Organisations under strict confidentiality requirements — law firms, medical data, defence — will need to either subscribe to the Enterprise plan or look for an alternative with European hosting and no training by default.
